Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge - TPN Racing/Blackforest

    Wilson Daytona Grand-Am

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mount Juliet, Tennessee (January 14, 2012) Stan Wilson will join Tom Nastasi in the TPN_Racing/Blackforest Dodge Challenger SRT8 race car in the GS class of the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.

The green flag flies over the Continental Tire season-opener Jan. 27 at Daytona International Speedway, where the series is the opening act for the following day's 50th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

"I have driven for Tom and Blackforest in the past. Running as high as second place in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at Daytona back in 2007 for Tom was one of the highlights of my professional racing career. Co-driving with Tom will be an honor and an experience I am looking very forward to getting underway," said Wilson.

"Tom has continued to make improvements over the past two seasons to our Dodge Challenger SRT8, we're going to be a factor this year to run head-to-head with the BMWs, Mustangs, Porsches, Camaros, and other GS class entries. Tom and I would like to put the Dodge Challenger SRT8 in the winners circle in 2012.

Wilson, who has been professionally associated with SRT and Dodge Motorsports since debuting a Dodge Neon ACR in 1999, has raced Dodge products from the Dodge Neon, Dodge SRT-4, Dodge Challenger, all the way up to the awesome Dodge Viper and Viper Competition Coupe. However, Wilson has not raced a Dodge product in Grand-Am competition previously. "I tell people, I bleed Dodge Red," said Wilson. "There is nothing more American than true American muscle! I am always excited to drive and race Dodge vehicles, but to be in Grand-Am again with a Dodge Challenger and Tom Nastasi for a co-driver is going to be the best opportunity I have had to run up front. I can't wait to get to Daytona and get the TPN_Racing/Blackforest Dodge Challenger SRT8 out on the 3.56 mile, 12 turn, high banked track of Daytona International Speedway!"
